Company Info

GuestEngine Inc. was started in 2007as a relationship marketing company strictly for the Hospitality Industry. GuestEngine started as a web-to-print solution for restaurant chains and over the years our business has evolved into several email, mobile and social media solutions for restaurants.

We provide solutions. We have some great programs - but at the end of the day - GuestEngine solves problems for restaurant owners and restaurant chains.

Guests come first.

We understand the lifeblood of your business are your Guests and that all the technology and tools are obsolete if the programs aren't designed around real-world guests and real-world restaurant operations.

Our Team

JP Martindale - Co-Founder

JP Martindale is the co-founder of GuestEngine. JP is responsible for setting the overall direction and product strategy for the company. He leads the design of GuestEngine's services and development of its core technology and marketing solutions. JP attended Dalhousie University and studied Psychology/Philosophy before moving into the digital world of web design, computer animation, elearning and marketing automation.

While working with some of Canada's largest and best know marketing companies, JP continued to ply his trade in the hospitality industry working for chains such as S.I.R Corp and Cara Foods among others. A deep connection to the restaurants industry was born culminating in the dev. of GuestEngine as a leading creator of marketing tools and automation specifically for the hospitality industry.

Joel Sisson - Managing Partner

Joel is a senior executive with strong leadership skills and the ability to build brands, increase sales and deliver an impressive bottom line. With over 20 years in the restaurant and hospitality business, Joel is known for building strong relationships with franchisees and suppliers while developing individuals and teams that are top performers.

Experience

Along with being a partner in Guest Engine, Joel is an associate with Prism Solutions, which is a consulting company specializing in the hospitality field.

Joel worked with Shoeless Joe's Restaurants for over a decade and was responsible for much of the company's growth. As Chief Operating Officer, he was instrumental in growing the brand into a major regional player in the Ontario marketplace with thirty-eight franchised locations and one corporate location. Joel was responsible for operations, marketing, procurement, training, P&L accountability and culinary development.

Joel previously worked with S.I.R. Corp (Service Inspired Restaurants) in both operations and marketing for several of their concepts including Canyon Creek Chophouse and the Signature restaurants division.

Izabela Jaganow - Designer

Izabela brings a strong graphic design skill set to the GuestEngine team. With several years' experience designing for large and small brands in the hospitality, food service and restaurant industries, her range of expertise includes branding, website design, print production, editorial design, marketing campaign development, and social media management. Thanks to a background in drawing and sketching, Izabela has developed a natural artistic eye for balanced composition and typography. Her resourcefulness, passion for social media integration, and strong focus on clarity, order and ease-of-use have contributed to many successful campaigns throughout her career. Being detail- as well as big-picture-oriented, she enjoys helping clients expand their organizations, maximize sales and effectively manage brand awareness/reputation through GuestEngine's various marketing tools. Izabela holds a bachelor's degree with honours in graphic design from OCAD (Ontario College of Art and Design) University. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling the world, camping, and ice-cream.
